Just 30 miles from Central London, the beautiful Lea Valley in Hertfordshire is home to The Shadowplay Stud of Miniature Horses.

Now, looking at the herd grazing peacefully, it's hard to imagine that 2000 years ago these very same meadows were the scene of Queen Boudica's last epic battle against The Roman Army.

The River Lea flows through the village and forms the Eastern boundary of our land. Stretching to London in the South, the River will play a prominent part in The 2012 London Olympics.

Shadowplay has been breeding and producing miniature horses for the show ring since 1979, with a special interest in colour genetics and an emphasis on correct conformation and movement. All foundation stock are registered with the AMHA and as an additional bonus all Shadowplay horses are registered with the BMHS, which means that they can be shown at the highest level in the UK, in both HOYS and RIHS qualifiers - Quality horses at affordable prices
